From MVP to durable software without losing speed
How we help teams ship quickly while laying foundations for security, observability, and iteration after the first release.
MVPs should be small, not sloppy. The goal is to learn fast in production, not to accumulate a pile of shortcuts that make the next milestone twice as expensive.
Our engineering work tends to split cleanly between experiments (where we optimise for learning) and foundations (where we optimise for change). The art is knowing which lane you are in each week.
Durable does not mean heavy
Durable software is observable, testable where it matters, and easy to change in the places the business will pivot. It is not a blanket mandate for enterprise ceremony on day one.
If you are shipping an MVP this quarter, write down the top three changes you expect after launch. If your architecture cannot accommodate them without a rewrite, tighten the foundation before you scale traffic.
